Feeling Taxed

I used to do our taxes during the first week in February when we expected a hefty or even small refund. Not any more. This is one of my many grouchy faces made while compiling this year's info. the day it was due. You can't tell but I am pointing to the car clock showing 11:13 p.m. on April 15th. It looks like my trip to Peru just went to the IRS.

NOOOOOOOooooo! Don't say that your trip to Peru went to the IRS. That's just not right.

Anyway, I'm glad to see you got your taxes in on time, even if you did procrastinate the day of reconing.

I confess. On the morning of April 15, I finally got around to installing TurboTax. By late afternoon, I had my tax returns eFiled, called Melissa, and had her mail the check to the State of Utah (the Feds didn't need more of my money). By evening, I sent my mother's tax return in a PDF file for my brother to print, sign and mail. Whew!

I know I say this every year, but next year, I'm going to file during the month of February.

Could be worse ....
you could (still) be paying 50% - income tax.

There are ways (legal ways) to not owe.
