Open mouth, insert foot.

My last post was funny to me but offended some. My sarcasm and wit keeps me alive in my marriage and family of origin but isn't appreciated by all. I'm sorry for the feelings I hurt by criticizing church culture and those who donate their time and effort to such causes. I will work on being more mature and resisting my snotty impulses. Honestly sorry and humbled.

You don't have to apologize. Church-related incidents give me plenty to write about, too! We need to lighten up. :)

Also...why are you apologizing for something you wrote on your own personal blog?? If someone's offended--then stop reading for crying out loud! You don't ever have to apologize Rita. If you can't express your opinions on your own blog...then where can you!!?

I second the posts above. Write on, I say. Did you read Elder Wirthlin's conference address where he said we need to learn to laugh? It was FUNNY, Rita. And sometimes that is the only way not to be offended by other's behavior, i.e. Al's of the world.

Well maybe if you didn't give Al's name, address, SS#, height/weight, and place of work -- you would've been okay!!! Ha, ha, you know I'm kiddin' -- that post was too funny, we all really need to take ourselves a little less seriously. Try blogging about about prop 8, and see how much love you get!!

Amen to all the above.

Oh Rita, I totally understand this. I blogged about something that happened to me with a girl in my ward--NOT thinking she looked at my blog anymore. Stupid me. BUT, on the other hand, it's my blog and it's your blog. I think the story was funny and the whole point of a blog is to post YOUR point of view! So I say: keep it coming!

I LOVED your blog, even if I am going to use the recipe for stuffing that you posted. Blog on. I try to check your blog as often as I can. It (and the other family blogs) makes my life in Peru possible.
